Christian Nationalism, Kinism, Achord, Aadland, Wolfe, and Roberts

By: Thomas F. Booher   UPDATE (4/29/2023): As the discussion/debate/smearing rages on, I stand by the gist of all I have said below. Seeing how G3/others are mischaracterizing the Christian Nationalists is a pretty sad affair. I do think the CN group (which I'm favorable toward and in principle agree we need Christian Nationalism, depending on how it is defined) could explain things better, but they make the point that no amount of explaining will assuage the other side, and so shock jock tactics as something of a last resort to draw attention is the only viable, effective method. I'm coming around to them on this, even if I still have some disagreements with how it is done. But if they are erring on the side of "sin boldly for the truth", the other side seems to be erring on "sin cowardly for compromise (though of course they believe they fight for truth)".  The only other thing I'd like to add is some thoughts on the recent discussion of the pros

What Distinguishes Reformed Presbyterians from other Reformed/Calvinists?

By: Pastor Thomas F. Booher  What distinguishes Reformed Presbyterians from other Calvinists and those like Reformed Baptists?  Above all, I believe our (Reformed Presbyterian) covenant theology is biblical and desperately needs to be recovered, particularly concerning our covenant children. You should become a Reformed Presbyterian if you care about being faithful to God and Scripture, and if you care about your children and the future generations serving the Lord.  Allow me to explain.  God commands us to raise our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). A great intro article on what that entails can be found here, written by a Presbyterian pastor and theologian, even though the article itself is posted on Desiring God: https://www.desiringgod.org/articles/every-fathers-calling   In essence, what parents are commanded in Ephesians 6 is the same they were commanded in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 --  “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one! You shall love t

Church is for Holiness, not Brokenness

Heritage Reformed Presbyterian Church holds to God's words through the Apostle Paul found in 1 Thess. 4:3: "This is the will of God, your sanctification....for God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness." Yet sadly, we have an epidemic of churches that subtly invert this message into "This is the will of God, your brokenness... for God did not call us to holiness/cleanness, but in brokenness." True Christian fellowship is built around a common, deeply rooted faith and love, and such is only produced by a common, deeply rooted unity in doctrine, in understanding of who God is and what He has done through Christ, as revealed in His holy word, the Bible. It is faith in Christ, faith in God, who He is and what He has done, that creates true Christian community and fellowship, yielding holiness of life and joy in the Lord. Eph. 4:7-16 and many other Scriptures show this. But today the very men ordained by God to be His vessels to promote and produce this

The Greatest Commandment Written on Our Hearts: Deuteronomy 6:1-9

INTRODUCTION TO Deuteronomy 1-5: ·         Deuteronomy 1-5 serves as a review of what God has done with His people the Israelites while under Moses. o    Moses addresses the Israelites, speaking on behalf of God to them, reminding them that God had spoken to them at Mt. Sinai (Horeb is the whole mountain range) when giving the 10 commandments, promising to drive away the Amorites to give them the Promised Land/Canaan. o    But the 12 spies sent to spy out the land gave a bad report, and Israel did not heed the command of God because of fear of the mighty Amorites. o    Only after God told them they would not inherit the Promised Land until their generation of men of war were consumed ( 2:14 ) and their babies would inherit did Israel try to take it, but they were destroyed and driven back by the Amorites because God did not go with them in their battles. o    That entire generation had to wander in the wilderness, and yet even here God’s punishment is tempered by His mercy
